Word From The Controller General
As Controller General of the Nigeria Mines Rangers Service, I am committed to protecting our mineral resources and the communities affected by illegal mining. This pervasive issue not only harms the environment but also threatens livelihoods across the nation.
We are dedicated to enforcing mining regulations, promoting sustainable practices, and ensuring that Nigeria’s natural wealth is responsibly managed for future generations. Together, we can build a safer, more prosperous Nigeria where legal mining benefits our economy and communities.
Thank you for your support.

CG NIGERIAN MINE RANGERS
We envision a Nigeria where mining is conducted sustainably, with strict adherence to regulations, ultimately contributing to the nation's development while preserving the environment for future generations.
Our mission is to eradicate illegal mining in Nigeria through effective regulation, enforcement of mining laws, and community engagement. We aim to raise awareness about the harmful impacts of illegal mining and advocate for responsible mining practices that benefit both the economy and local communities.
Who We Are
The Nigeria Mines Rangers Service is an offshoot of the National Unity and Peace Corps, established on August 3rd, 1992. As a Non-Governmental Organization registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria, we have operated in a paramilitary capacity over the years. Currently, we are actively advocating for the legislation and legalization of the Nigeria Mines Rangers Service through a Private Member Sponsored Bill at the Nigerian National Assembly.
Our mission is to combat illegal mining, protect resources, and enforce mining regulations to ensure the sustainable use of Nigeria’s natural wealth.
